Rating—out
of 5 Mickey Mouse Ears: 3 ½ ears. 1 for Lilo, 1 for Stitch, 1 for
Nani/Bubbles/David, and ½ for the Hawaiian songs.
This
is a really funny movie, and a great adventure. Lilo is great and does a great
job just being a kid. Stitch is silly one moment, terrifying the next ... so
you’ve got to keep an eye on him. Nani is a great sister, Bubbles is tough but
nice, and David looks good with his shirt off. Gantu isn’t in it enough to really
be considered a villain. The Hawaiian songs are fun, but the music is mostly
random Elvis songs. Elvis was a hero to most, but he never meant shit to me.
This
is another underrated movie that most people seem to forget. I like that it has
both women and minorities, which seem to be lacking in movies these days. It is
also the last one before a rough stretch of movies I am probably going to
struggle through slowly. But back to this movie; Lilo and Stich are a great duo
and may make some noise in the bracket.
